A Rideshare Chronicles Novella The Fire in the Stars

Business as usual

Act VIII

The funny thing about this whole venture," Alessandra said as she sipped the coffee at the booth at the House of Pie's restaurant. "Was the fear of what people were going to think about me after they found out that I did an adult film," Alessandra said as she looked at Timothy, who was still in shock.

Jonathan looked at Timothy in nervousness as he took a sip from his cup.

"Are you Timothy?" Alessandra said as he looked up.

"Yeah, just a little startled still," Timothy said as Alessandra reached for his hand.

"It's perfectly normal," Alessandra said in empathy. "The first time I was attacked, I felt the same thing?"

"It's happened to you as well?" Timothy said as he looked up at Alessandra in concern. "How did you deal with it?"

"A lot of therapy and a fighting spirit!" Jonathan said as he put his coffee mug down. "Sexual assault is just as bad as an attempted physical assault," Jonathan said as he looked at Timothy.

"It gets better," Alessandra said as she stood up. "I promise!' Alessandra said as she leaned in towards Jonathan for a kiss. "We are here if you need anything?" Alessandra said as Jonathan grabbed her hand.

"Everything okay?" Jonathan asked in concern.

"Yeah, I am going to go to the bathroom and pay for the check!" Alessandra said as Timothy perked up. Still in shock.

"Allow me, Alessandra. Please?" Timothy said as Alessandra looked at Jonathan as he began to chuckle.

"Let's not start an argument with her," Jonathan said as he looked at Timothy. "Please, we will be here for hours," Jonathan said as he looked at Alessandra as she looked dead into Jonathan's eyes. Alessandra put her hands on her hip.

Alessandra laughed as she said, "I'm too tired for all that." Alessandra looked at Timothy as she said, "That's what friends are for."

Timothy nodded as Alessandra walked to the bathroom.

"What the hell happened back there?" Timothy said as he leaned over the table. "I saw things, right?"

Jonathan sighed as he frowned in empathy as Jonathan leaned back in the booth chair as he said, "Don't ask, don't tell."

"Jonathan, those things!" Timothy whispered as he leaned in. "What the hell were they!"

"There are some things that are better left unsaid," Jonathan said as Timothy leaned back as his hands began to shake.

"They won't be coming around anymore, don't worry," Jonathan reassured.

"How in the fuck, and I am going not to worry!" Timothy whispered as Jonathan cupped his hands around him.

"Do you need anything?" Alessandra said as Timothy looked up at Alessandra.

"I'm okay, thanks," Timothy said as Alessandra nodded. She looked at Jonathan in concern as she made her way to the cashier, located towards the entrance that was about two yards away.

"Listen to me," Jonathan said as he neared closer to Timothy. "You can't mention this to anyone, you hear!" Jonathan said as Timothy looked up.

"Okay," Timothy said as he took a drink of coffee from the mug.

"I'm serious," Jonathan emphasized. "God only knows who else is involved with these incidents?" Jonathan said as Timothy leaned back in his chair.

"You think the murders that have been happening in the production company are somehow related?" Timothy said as he began to shake again.

"Which is why you mustn't mention this to anyone?" Jonathan said empathetically. "Not even to Alessandra?"

"Why would you bring her into this if you feel the murders are an inside job!" Timothy said in concern. Timothy turned around as Alessandra was waiting in line to pay. Timothy looked towards Jonathan as he said, "Are you stupid! I would keep my girl, especially Alessandra!" Timothy said as Jonathan nodded.

"But the more I keep her away, the more the suspicion will grow," Jonathan said as his eyes began to water. "You don't think I thought about this as well," Jonathan whispered as he grew close again. "She's in my person, but the more that I keep her away. The more she becomes a target, I feel!"

"From whom?" Timothy whispered in concern.

"I don't know yet," Jonathan said as he looked down as Timothy began to sympathize with Jonathan.

Timothy sighed as he leaned back on the booth chair as looked at Jonathan. "My dad always had a saying," Timothy said as Jonathan looked up at Timothy. "Something that he said was the reason why horrible shit always happened to me."

Jonathan got closer as he began to look at Timothy with empathy.

"He always said," Timothy said as his eyes began to water. "Nut up and stand up," Timothy said as he turned to the window of the dinner. "It was the last word he ever told me," Timothy said. A tear began to fall from his eye.

"What happened?" Jonathan said in sympathy as Timothy looked at Jonathan as tears began to stream down his eyes.

"He died, protecting me," Timothy said as he held his mournful cries.

"Protect you from what?" Timothy said as he put his arm on the table.

Jonathan's eyes began to widen as Timothy's skin began the scales began to form from the hairs of his arms. Jonathan looked up at Timothy as the tears fell from his eyes as he looked into Jonathan's eyes.

"Business as usual," Timothy whispered as his arm began to turn back to normal.

"Business as usual," Jonathan said as he heard a loud slap in Alessandra's direction.

"You fucken bitch!" The drunk man yelled.

"Who the fuck do you think you are, grabbing a woman's ass like that!" Alessandra yelled as Timothy stood up.

Jonathan put his hand on his arm as Timothy looked towards Jonathan.

"She's not as helpless as you think, brother!" Jonathan said as he sat back on the chair as Timothy turned to monitor the situation.

"You fucken whorey bitch, wearing shit like that," the man scuffed as he went into Alessandra's face. "If you dress like a slut, it makes you a slut!" The man said as he attempted to grab Alessandra's breast.

Alessandra slapped it away as she said, 'What kind of knuckle-dragging comment is that your ugly piece of shit!"

The man turned around as he clinched his fist in anger. "You want to act like a man," The drunken man whispered. "You're going to be treated like a man!"

The man swung a punch as Alessandra grabbed his fist as began to scream in agony. Which, in desperation, swung his other fist that Alessandra held as he cried in fear.

"Help me!" The drunken man yelled as he looked around in the diner. "This crazy bitch attacked me," the man said as she threw the drunk man down.

"Stop acting like a victim, you fucken pussy!" Alessandra said as the man inched way.

The diner began to laugh as the women he harassed in the restaurant stood up as they cheered for Alessandra.

"Nothing to see here!" Alessandra yelled as she turned to the applauding diner.

The man began to growl as he charged Alessandra as he attempted to take a cheap shot. He lunched with his fist in the air, causing Alessandra to grab his arm as he flipped the man to the ground, which followed with a thud as the man hit the floor, which followed with a cry for mercy.

Alessandra held his arm in place as her stiletto was gently pushing against his thorax.

Timothy looked at Jonathan as he nodded in pride.

"Is she one of us," Timothy said, as Jonathan stood up, signaled the women standing to follow him?

"Please!" The drunk man screamed. "I'm sorry!" The man began to cry. "Please don't kill me!"

"Say you're sorry!" Alessandra said as she pulled his arm as began to cry in fear.

"Oh God, don't do it!" The drunk man said as Alessandra moved it slowly towards his crotch.

"Say your fucken sorry!" Alessandra said as she pulled his hand. The man screamed as he felt her heel at the tip of his member.

"I'm sorry!" The man cried as he moaned in fear. "I'm sorry!" The man screamed as Alessandra pulled his arm again.

Alessandra looked up as the woman harassed in the restaurant began to walk towards the scene.

"Tell these lovely ladies your sorry," Alessandra said as the man began to cry harder. The man screamed as Alessandra pulled his arm as began to scream.

"I'm sorry!" The drunk man yelled as he began to a crying fit.

"And!" Alessandra said as she pulled his arm as began to scream.

"I shouldn't be harassing a woman!" The man screamed as Timothy walked up as nodded with a smile.

"What was that?" Alessandra said as she pushed her heel deeper into his crotch as he began to scream.

"I should be more respectful towards women," the man cried as the people in the diner began to gather.

"Why!" Alessandra yelled, pulling his arm as the cries began to follow.

"Because a woman isn't a piece of meat!" The man cried as Alessandra looked at the woman standing in front of her.

"Is that a good enough apology for you?" Alessandra said as she pulled his arm. The woman smiled as he began to cry.

"What do you feel, ladies?" The caramel-complected woman said as she turned towards the other woman, who nodded. Flashing smiles of appreciation. "Yeah, that's good enough."

Alessandra looked at the man in empathy as she released his arm and removed the heel from his crotch.

The man looked at Alessandra with fear in his eyes as he crouched to the floor as Alessandra extended her hand. The man began to whimper as he turned away, expecting Alessandra to hit him.

He slowly began to turn as Alessandra smiled in empathy.

"I know you're better than this," Alessandra said as the man grabbed for her hand as lifted the man. "Alright, buddy, I think that's enough excitement for the night!"

The man looked at the woman as he put his hands together as pleaded for forgiveness as Alessandra turned to the man. The man's tears began to fall as he began to whimper as she looked dead into his eyes.

"The least you can pay for these lovely woman's meal for the annoyance you brought to their pleasant night," Alessandra said as the man nervously took out his wallet.

"Yes, anything you say. Ma'am," the man said as he winced as Alessandra gently reached for the man's face.

"There's still hope for," Alessandra said with a satisfied smile. "After all!" Alessandra said as she began to walk towards the register.

The caramel-complected attractive woman walked up towards the register as she said, "I insist!"

Alessandra looked at Timothy and Jonathan, who nodded as Alessandra nodded in appreciation.

"Thank you," Alessandra said as the woman pulled Alessandra as her eye's widened in surprise.

"We women have to stick together," the woman said as Jonathan walked towards Alessandra and the woman.

"Let's go, Chun-Li," Jonathan said as he looked at the woman. "Thank you again for the meal," Jonathan said as the woman nodded.

"Of course," the woman said. She looked at the sparkling diamond on Alessandra's finger. "Take care of my girl," the woman said as she smiled at Jonathan and Alessandra.

"With my life," Jonathan said as he shook the woman's hand as she noticed the woman looking at Timothy.

Timothy looked into her eyes as he turned around as blushed.

"But as you can see," Jonathan said as the woman looked at Jonathan. "She can take care of herself."

"Congratulations, by the way," the woman said as Jonathan smiled as he saw Alessandra attempting to hide her smile.

"It's not what you think, but it's a promise that I am going to marry that badass one day," Jonathan said as the woman stared at Timothy. "He's single, by the way," Jonathan said as he gently pushed the woman towards Timothy.

Alessandra leaned up as she kissed Jonathan on the lips. The man turned towards the two as he attempted to hide his face due to the intimidating built of his potential victim's better half.

Jonathan walked towards the man as he began to whimper.

"I hope you learned something today," Jonathan said as the man looked at Jonathan in fear. "Never underestimate someone that you stereotype," Jonathan said. The man began to moan in embarrassment as he looked down at the crotch of his pants.

"Come on, babe!" Alessandra called as Jonathan looked down at the man's wet crotch. The Passeio ping chimed. "You are coming?" Jonathan said as he looked at Timothy.

"Yeah," Timothy said as he handed the woman back her phone. "Call me, okay?" Timothy said as he joined Alessandra as he looked back at the woman.

Jonathan stood in place as the man closed his eyes tight, as tears fell from the man's eyes.

"You should see a doctor about that," Jonathan said as he joined the two as Timothy yelled in excitement.

"You got to teach me some of those moves of yours," Timothy said as Jonathan and Alessandra began to tease Timothy playfully. "Ninja Warrior!"

"I like to think of her as a Warrior Princess!" Jonathan said as he kissed Alessandra.

"That works too!" Timothy said as he looked at the woman standing at the window. Timothy smiled as the woman smiled back.

"Stop flirting and wasting this driver's time!" Jonathan said as he hopped in the car.

"Ohhhh! Timothy is in love!" Alessandra said as she began to laugh.

"Shut up, you too!" Timothy said as they began to laugh as the Passeio vehicle took off.

"How do you feel?" Jonathan said with a chuckle.

"It's you guy's fault," Timothy said. "Why do you guys have to be so amazing on camera and in real life!" Timothy said as the driver hit the road.

Through the entire ride, Alessandra, Jonathan, and Timothy laughed along the whole way back home. They were enjoying the company of their new friend and ally.
