In religion, The Rapture, in Christianity, the eschatological (concerned with the last things and Endtime) belief that both living and dead believers will ascend into heaven to meet Jesus Christ at the Second Coming (Parousia) (https://www.britannica.com/topic/Rapture-the). Where in addition to this, This day of judgment, also known as the Final Judgment, is when Jesus, the Son of God, will judge “the living and the dead” before destroying the old heaven and earth, which are corrupted by sin. Which, in a worst case scenario, would be the end of time. As many have felt this before throughout the decade, the lessons we are taught in this have been rejected by social norms. We defend the gray areas too much. We justify the wrongs we do to others. We follow idols who enable destructive behaviors and do as they say in all schemes in religion and non-religion—explaining our destructive behaviors for one common thing: greed and lack of compassion.
One of the things that I learned pre-pandemic was not to justify the “bad behaviors” I engaged in and avoid Psychological Manipulation at all costs. To myself and others. Which is a mantra I have stayed consistent with. Admitting my faults and fixing them has been very useful in these times of devastation. Many people will disagree, saying that I “belittle” people with the generalized statements I make, which is why those truths are not mine. As I never have an intention to do this as I don’t believe in personal attacks. I don’t do this because I have no ego to protect. Because knowing I am flawed and learning from mistakes. Leaving bias idealisms and genuinely attempt to help others is the idealism I have followed with the boundary of halting that help when they can’t help themselves. I realize that you can’t save everyone. Especially when they already have a negative mindset and always attempt to be right. Thus far, no one has convinced me that I am this person as behavior patterns and pointing out the root cause of the effect that occurred in their emotional outburst.
One of the things that this pandemic has brought to light is the greed that occurs in this Era, as many of those essential workers have not seen the COVID-19 pay unless they are traveling nurses. The same goes for the stimulus. As more and more cases of unemployment and poverty occur. Which, regardless if it is the Democratic or Republican side, all perceive as an act of greed. Which those un-empathetic believe it’s because those who are depending on this are “not wanting to work.” But amid a pandemic and many with existing pre-conditions, it’s insensitive to say such a thing as many of these nurses have seen a whole family die from a COVID-19 infection as many of these pre-existing conditions being hereditary with an onset depression that has turned severe amid a worldwide traumatic event have a 22% chance of surviving, even with the affordable therapies that are provided.
One of the darkest things in this pandemic is that care is 100% covered in this pandemic. Most healthcare professionals, stricken by greed, end up giving minimal maintenance to some of these patients. Some intentional, while many due to the hospital administration that runs the show. Which many of these essential workers say, “I wish Corporate and the Public could see what happens in these COVID units daily. Maybe they will realize how bad this pandemic is.” Where the truth of the matter is this, many of them will hide behind HIPPA guidelines. Even if given the opportunity through a physical walkthrough or a virtual walkthrough. As many people will avoid it not to turn their skepticism into hysteria. Protecting those from the truth is something that we have been conditioned to do in social norms. All for the sake of not causing “panic.” Which riding out Hurricane Harvey was one of those reasons why it was told not to evacuate. Which luckily, that storm ended up becoming a Category 1 when it reached landfall. But why should those dictate what is right for people? And the lingering question is, “why do we continue to allow it?”
In the bigger scheme of thing, I see the middle class and below suffering from this pandemic, the most as many of these individuals hold on to pride in the idealism of “making money” to solve all the onset problems. But one thing that is commonly neglected is that knowledge is key to survival. I say this because of the consistent warning that many of these nurses advise is to have “multiple advocates” and do “your research” if stricken with COVID. One of the nurses asked me, “how would you handle a COVID infection,” which, for me, that was an easy answer. Blog the entire experience. When told that I couldn’t, I would play my stereotype and secretly record. And when caught, would be told they couldn’t do that as it’s my HIPPA that I am releasing.
When it comes to my health, I don’t need a pre-release, which, in their perspective, would “guarantee me” the full care and assure that nothing catastrophic happens to me, as in my experience. I would reveal through a live-action blog what happens to me personally during a COVID infection, which not many have that luxury. Which is foul play would be avoided to assure they don’t get criminalized. I also see the worst-case scenario happening. Where they would purposely let me die, thinking that I was bluffing as many do. But they do not know that I would record every piece of footage and interaction in the best and worst-case scenarios would still criminalize them in their skepticism. Which, if funding could allow, would assist those in that need, offering devices to those infected and access to my blog. As a paid blogger. Along with the legal help to give the general public the protection that they need.
More than ever, I feel it’s time to stop assuming that people have our best intention at hand and start doing our research. Instead of going by hearsay, do your research as not everyone has your best interest. Especially if they already have a history of psychological manipulation. As those who engage in that behavior are in it for one person. Themselves. The truth of the matter is, I am not here to gain acceptance or popularity. I mean, isn’t it obvious based on this post and previous ones at that. I was giving you the ugly truth so that you can make your own decision. And if you disagree with me, that’s cool too. As “not everyone is meant to be saved.” Especially if you assume someone has an underlying intention. That’s your pendejada, not mine. But the truth of the matter is this. Everyone deserves an opportunity to be presented with the information and make their own decision themselves. Deflection can only get you so far, whether it be temporary or six feet under. The truth is that I never took this journey for fame. I did it in the principle of the matter. Because in the end, I just got tired of being told what I want to hear. Aren’t you?
