One of the most biggest scams in today’s American Society is the act of for Profit Schooling. Which many of them a legitimate source of education as many Beauty Schools are necessary for getting the hands on training that is needed to be a well skilled Beautician, Esthetician, Manicurist, etc…..this is not the case for higher education. As in many of these cases are not even told that it’s a for profit school to begin with, which comes the gimmick of “rainbow and gumdrops” idealism that begins the first experience of systematic racism. Where many of those students who get into these programs, don’t qualify to enter into traditional school.
Sweety Vs DeVoss was the basis of the lawsuit that was filed against the Department of Education, that ended up in failed bandwagoning and gaslighting as these students who now with papers that had no true value, were being entitled millennial. Which this is one of the comments that came from the Trump Administration. Where the empathy of those making money were taking advantage of vulnerable situations were trying to pocket the Government Funded money that when you talk to the Borrower Defense League with the US Department of Education, will say this has been a problem that’s been going on for ages.
One of the most common things that you are told in these “Pyramid Schemes” is the promise of a brighter future, which in my case was told credits were transferrable. Which in a casual conversation with the Dean of this school, I was told my credits weren’t transferable as it wasn’t a credited school. Which knowing the person she was, knew that she was giving fair warning. Which is why I am sure she mid term was no longer employed with the school. As she was a good hearted person. Another question I always asked in this program was “Why couldn’t I get my own supplies” which always came with a threat. Which in traditional school, which I was accustomed to, I was all about looking for my own text books. Which we never got the books used to the semester started. Which in the end if we wanted to get a Graduate Degree, we needed to go to the sister school that was always “difficult” to get into.
One of the things that was the reality to many students in these programs was that Systematic Racism was real. Where many of my alumni who ended up graduating with me, do designing on the side to make extra money. Which if advertised as a technical school, would have been much more fitting and realistic. Because the smoke and mirrors to gain creditability is by using the word “University” Which is why thanks to someone else’s fight, helped others fight for justice. Even though it took an army to beat down the barricade of a bias empathetic nation. Where those who haven’t walked in our shoes, trying to work hard to do something that their family is proud of.” With the little means of resources they have.
