What Abuse of Power Looks Like

Amazon Original Series 2019

“People Love That Cozy Feeling That Supes Give Them […] Swoop Out Of The Sky And Save The Day So You Don’t Gotta Do It Yourself.”

The Boys is by far one of the best portrayals that adapts fiction with true to realism ideas as the plot of the story is about a government secret that uses children through child abductions and uses them as test subjects to make them into real life super heroes, which is a drug that is manufactured by a drug company that can make any human super. We follow the journey of Starlight, who finally accepted into the Seven, which coming in is sexually assaulted by one of the heroes and is seeing the reality of what the Vought organization is all about. Having a image that is manufactured by board members to have them become the people they are not, in a an organization of corrupt super heroes who care about themselves in narcissism, which is lead by “The Homelander” who is dealing with psychological stigmas, like all of the heroes are with a struggle of their identity, pretending to be for the people. But the ugly truth is that he’s on a journey of gaining absolute power. Which has cost the lives of many and uses intimidation and fear to psychologically manipulate the team he leads with threats. And in an extreme case, kills the one’s he loves that get in his way. You would say this is just fiction, however fiction always gets inspired by someone’s true journey or is adapted by real life events (which is how The Rideshare Chronicles) came t be. Which events that happen in “The Boys” is something we experience in our current society today.

Chicks and dicks. Aren’t we all in this together?

Those who have power to expose the truth, have the ability to shut things down, which I feel our main character would have walked away from, if the sincerity of the apology from A-Train was heartfelt, as he is the reason why he is attempting to stop the corruption in this story, that takes him way to deep into the action, as those attempting to stop this organization. All have a common trauma. They been inflicted with loss and trauma by the Voght association. Which turns killing spree with anyone who might have a key to exposed the “Super V” drug they don’t want the world to see as “Starlight” starts as being the beacon of change as she exposes the sexual assault in public, which of course is spinned to be an act and begins the crusade of helping her love interest put a stop to the organization to be a real super hero. One thing is that this secret the company is hiding is the main key to why these bad behaviors in the organization continue to occur, which being transparent about the situation would keep things at bay. As I see many ways they can stop this corruption. However the main motivation I see why this is isn’t happening as it’s a driven by greed. Where everyone in the organization has a common “justify the wrong with the lies you tell yourself is for a better cause.”

Seeing this video give me great inside as to potentially why I haven’t made it thus far. Having opportunities at one point to be in the limelight, which truthfully turned me off but the greed behind it, makes me wonder if I will ever get my shot. As me being “smarter than I looked” was the stereotype that got me to where I was. We percieve this idea of “being free” in our comfort zone, but the things that we don’t realize, which any of us would kill to be there and do whatever it took to keep it, is why many celebrities fall from grace. It’s a popularity contest at the end of the day, which we also see in politics. Having many of them doing things that is out of their regular character which is sprung by the fear of humiliation, fear of failure, fear of losing it all, which October brings another series that is the bread crumbs to “The Psychology of the Seven Deadly Sins” as “The Psychology of Our Common Fears” follows shortly after. Where fear is the trigger to sin in the end. Here are the common fears that are associated with the trigger, which I will talk about in more detail what I learned from writing “The Psychology of the Seven Deadly Sins.”

Pippi Longstocking would bite a D, that’s for damn sure.

Conclusion

One thing that I realized is that the cruelty of forcing people to see the truth is a harsh thing to do. I attempt to avoid that in every interaction that I have, giving people boundaries and three chances to prevent me from revealing someones truth. But let’s be real, people trigger those on purpose to attempt to get a rise out of us. But then again, people tend to not want to not take accountability for the things that they cause. Which triggering someone is like setting off a loaded gun. We never know what psyche people are in. And depending on the place they are on the ledge, they may end up taking everyone with them. We don’t know what side they are on either as corruption is always masked with good values and a good press. In the pursuit of revealing the truth, you never know what entities your toying with. Where revealing things on social media may raise flags and make a regular person like Sandra Bullock’s “The Net.” Which truth will expose itself when it’s good and ready and truth. The truth only comes to those who have good intention and prove it. Where we live in a world where we can’t even know what the absolute truth is due to gaslighting and narcissist, you never know what hornets nest you’re shaking. Which if you think about it, is the reason why we don’t see positive change. When people have truth that they exposed negatively, it becomes a bandwagon effect of deceit as we don’t ever know the complete truth. It’s just a version of someone else’s truth. In the end until you know it directly, when you’re face to face with it, are you going to truly be as righteous as you are. As the one thing that’s driving your vendetta is to expose something in bias that you don’t even know who’s playing and what side. Thanks to technology and things like ReFace, anyone can be blackmailed. Even you if you tried on a slippery slope. And to Amazon. Great job on this awesome series. And thanks for making a character like Starlight. We need more heroes like her.

“But I can be Harry Potter. Or John Conner. Or what’s her name, from The Hunger Games. The point is, I can be that person that nobody thinks is awesome, but it turns out, they’re kind of f*cking awesome.”
